Our designs take inspiration from the books on the Queens Public Library most popular 100 banned books list. We selected titles from a variety of genres and age-ranges which we felt called to honor. Additionally, Queens, New York is the most linguistically diverse borough in the world and the most ethnically diverse urban area on the planet.

Being that the tagline for the Queens Public Library system is ‘We speak your language,’ we thought to honor the languages that thrive there, by highlighting some of the most popular languages spoken there in our design.
