Adobe Hosts Two-Day Creative Retreat Connecting Young Designers to Industry Professionals

April 25-26, 2024

This April Adobe hosted the first of its kind creative retreat in New York City. This two-day creative retreat was designed to help design students enter the professional world with panel discussions, portfolio reviews, networking opportunities, and wellness activities.
I was invited as one of the portfolio reviewers representing freelance artists and small agencies. Converging with the next generation of designers and creative thinkers provided an opportunity to pass down my —still limited— knowledge as a young professional still finding my footing in the design space. Hosted in the beautiful Glass House overlooking Union Square, the event was a mix of designers and students of diverse backgrounds and experiences whose career centered discussions covered a broad range of advice and industry knowledge which not only benefitted the students but connected creatives across the board.
Thanks to Adobe for the opportunity, especially Tara Abtahi who hosted the event and was my main point of contact. I am excited to see spaces like these which grant young people across a multitude of universities the opportunity to grow in a way they otherwise wouldn’t have been able to.
